Job summary

Sterling Homes, a Qualico unit, seeks a Senior Architectural Technologist to create detailed plans, elevations and floor plans and to secure timely permits. You will coordinate with external consultants and municipalities while maintaining design standards and the Master Plan library.

The ideal candidate has a degree in architectural technology and at least 6 years of relevant experience, with strong drafting software skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in an Architectural Technologist or similar position.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Proficient in MS Office programs and architectural design/drafting software (AutoCAD, SoftPlan, Revit, ArchiCAD).

Responsibilities

• Create, revise and organize job files reflecting changes and communicate with related parties.
• Coordinate drawings and conceptual designs with external consultants for addenda, plot plans and elevations.
• Liaise with municipalities and trades for permit approvals.
• Review home plans for compliance with Architectural Controls and Guidelines.
• Maintain and organize the standard Master Plan library.
• Monitor and adjust schedules to track work progress.
• Attend model reviews and prepare checklists for Designers.
• Stay current on industry trends and identify process improvements.
• Respond to inquiries from municipalities, site supervisors and consultants.
