Job summary

Architecture49, located in Ottawa, seeks a senior technical and production lead to coordinate design development through construction on large-scale projects, including public infrastructure and government-funded work. You will act as a primary client contact, drive complex requirements, and ensure deliverables meet regulatory standards.

You will mentor junior staff, advance BIM practices in a fully integrated environment, and manage budgets and risk across design development and production

Qualifications

• Senior lead with experience delivering large-scale architectural projects from Design Development through construction.
• Experience in public infrastructure and government-funded projects is required.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams in a multidisciplinary setting and manage tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical and production lead for clients, public-sector stakeholders, and project partners.
• Lead complex project requirements, coordinating internal teams and external consultants from design through construction.
• Oversee project budgets during Design Development and Production, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Establish QA/QC standards and conduct senior-level reviews at milestones.
• Plan and facilitate client, consultant, and internal project meetings with clear documentation.
• Coordinate delivery of permits, bids, and construction packages compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee site assessments and field reviews, translating conditions into design/production solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to intermediate and junior staff in production, BIM, and design coordination.
