Qualifications

  • Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and related design software.
  • Familiarity with MEP and structural building systems and building codes is required.
  • Post-secondary education in architecture or related field.
  • Registration with a relevant architectural association.
  • 15+ years of project work experience.
  • Experience in Education projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Compile information from reports and published documents; evaluating and analyzing the information to understand broad requirements of project.
  • Develop architectural designs, to ensure an exemplary solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements.
  • Coordinating design intent with other disciplines.
  • Integrating engineering requirements, site surveys and field review information, adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Preparing design reports, drawings and models following office standards.
  • Performing site visitations to determine compliance with construction documents; identifies any deviations and liaises with owner and contactor to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure adherence to project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes and corporate quality controls.

As an Architect, you will work with other members of the design team in order to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project.

You Will Bring to the Team
  • Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required
  • Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software
  • Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required
  • Have successfully completed related post-secondary education
  • Registered with a relevant professional architectural association
  • 15+ years of project work experience
  • Experience in Education projects is an asset

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
