Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Architect, Enterprise Technology to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

The Senior Architect, Enterprise Technology has a specialized focus on Application and Technology Architecture to bridge business strategy with technical implementation. This role functions as a strategic technical advisor who drives architectural transformation initiatives and establishes architectural standards, patterns, and practices that guide technology decisions across the enterprise. The position demands an architect capable of leading by example, navigating complex technology ecosystems while maintaining sight of business objectives.

This is a full-time position working in a hybrid model, with at least 3 days a week from our Ottawa office.

Core responsibilities include:

1. Aligning technical direction with business strategy across the organization.
2. Evaluating and developing practices for emerging technologies.
3. Establishing and documenting standard patterns and reference architectures.
4. Guiding implementation decisions, balancing innovation with standardization.
5. Supporting technology rationalization to consolidate redundant systems.
6. Evaluating emerging technologies for enterprise adoption.
7. Collaborating with stakeholders to align technology with business strategy.
8. Developing target architectures and transition plans.
9. Facilitating cross-team architectural consistency.
10. Providing oversight for enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
11. Mentoring technical leaders and teams on best practices.
12. Communicating complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
13. Performing other duties related to the role and company initiatives.

Qualifications include:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years in solution architecture for complex enterprise applications; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience in technology development and delivery.
• Technical leadership across multiple domains.
• Proficiency in programming languages, stacks, and architectural patterns.
• Strong understanding of system integration, API design, and distributed systems.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business needs.
• Knowledge of modern software development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Systems thinking aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills adaptable for various audiences.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience leading large-scale technical transformations.
• Knowledge of DevOps, event-driven architectures, microservices, domain-driven design.
• Understanding of data architecture and governance.
• Experience with technology portfolio evaluation and rationalization.
• Proficiency in architectural modeling tools.
