We are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Aquatic Biologist to join our fisheries team in the Calgary, Alberta office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading fisheries related tasks and deliverables. The successful candidate will join our team of freshwater fisheries and aquatic biologists who value teamwork and will help shape our fisheries practice in Alberta.
A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Fisheries is required, graduate degree preferred.
Registration, or ability to register, with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists is required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a fisheries biologist with consulting experience.
Knowledge of current provincial and federal government regulatory requirements and regulatory authorities. (e.g., Canada Energy Regulator, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, etc.).
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
