Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production backend systems.
• Hands-on Applied AI, LLM, RAG, NLP, or agent-based apps in production.
• Advanced Python skills: FastAPI, async, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy.
• Strong REST, concurrency, caching, background processing, debugging.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus or equivalent.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and building tool/workflow executions.
• Built at least one RAG or knowledge-grounded system with measurable latency.
• Strong PostgreSQL, Redis, vector DBs (pgvector) skills.
• Proven use of AI coding agents like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex.

Responsibilities

• Translate product problems into practical AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, or tool calling.
• Design and build production AI services with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, and queues.
• Build reliable tool-calling agents and multi-step workflows with internal APIs and tools.
• Design event-driven systems using RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, including retries and idempotency.
• Build and improve RAG pipelines with ingestion, embeddings, hybrid retrieval, and citations.
• Experiment with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI models for quality and cost.
• Create AI evaluation pipelines with datasets and regression tests.
• Diagnose hallucinations, retrieval failures, and unexpected inference costs.
