Sobeys offers exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team! We currently have a full-time opening for a Senior Application System Analyst, based out of one of our main offices: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Calgary, AB.

What You’ll Be Focusing On:

  • Providing remote support for all IT incidents, requests, and changes in the retail environment, including implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and usage monitoring, with after-hours support as needed.
  • Resolving incidents and fulfilling requests within defined SLAs.
  • Managing retail hardware lifecycle (servers, RF guns), operating systems, deployment technology, and IT security; planning, testing, piloting, and deploying new technologies to stores.
  • Developing support and troubleshooting guides for new technologies prior to deployment.
  • Maintaining support documentation and ensuring compliance with release management processes.
  • Participating in deployment activities and promoting effective communication with customers regarding project statuses.
  • Evaluating current processes and implementing improvements.
  • Documenting knowledge base entries and ensuring accuracy.
  • Adhering to IT policies, security standards, and quality standards.
  • Mentoring team members and acting as a technical expert.
  • Participating in IT projects and process improvements.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in retail is an asset.
  • Experience with Azure, SAP, Blue Yonder, and agile/lean methodologies is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
