About the team and the role:

Join eBay's Shipping Tech Team and help power global commerce for sellers! Our Shipping team is essential to the Selling organization, delivering innovative solutions that meet the diverse shipping needs of sellers worldwide. We focus on domestic and international logistics, actively shaping the future of shipping with tailored experiences. This role involves developing shipping functionalities within the seller journey, primarily during the listing/draft phase. You will use a modern Android technology stack to create high-performance solutions that enhance seller experiences and foster collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.

What you will accomplish:

• Develop and enhance Android applications that improve the seller experience on eBay using Kotlin and modern Android technologies.
• Collaborate closely with business teams to identify innovative features and interface improvements.
• Maintain high-quality standards in code and project execution, contributing to the team's overall technical excellence.
• Engage in cross-functional team collaborations across eBay to build integrated and scalable solutions.
• Mentor peers and set new benchmarks for software quality and development practices.
• Participate actively in system design and architecture decisions, navigating project ambiguities.

What you will bring:

• At least 6 years of experience in Android development, with extensive experience in Kotlin, Android Studio, Dagger, and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of mobile application design and UX patterns, particularly for Android.
• Experience working with revision control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Ability to build and maintain commercial-quality Android applications.
• Excellent communication skills for effective remote collaboration across dispersed teams.
• Substantial software development experience with exposure to Agile practices and delivery methods.
