Job summary

Cognizant in Canada is seeking a Senior Android Developer to design, develop, and enhance native Android apps, delivering exceptional UX and business outcomes. You will collaborate with product, design, architecture, backend teams to deliver scalable mobile solutions.

The role requires 6+ years' experience, strong Kotlin and Android Jetpack expertise, and a hands-on approach to architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture).

Qualifications

About The Role

You will be a valued member of the mobile engineering team and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, architects, backend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and scalable mobile solutions.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Experience within the Automotive domain, including connected vehicle, infotainment, or mobility solutions.


• Knowledge of constraint management and industry-specific mobile solution design.


• Experience contributing to new product development initiatives and evaluating emerging Android technologies.


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices for mobile application delivery.


• Experience documenting technical decisions, development standards, and knowledge-sharing materials.


• Exposure to accessibility standards, mobile security best practices, and Google Play Store deployment processes.

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until November 5th, 2026.

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $60,300 – $95,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
