The Senior Android Developer—reporting to the Leader, Development—will be responsible for prototyping, architecting, detailed design, coding, code review, and unit testing mobile and web applications. You will create and maintain technical documentation. Expertise in Android technologies, Web-based front-end frameworks, design patterns, SDLC methodologies, and Agile environments is essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications for our payments platform.
• Managing and executing development assignments independently.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensuring application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.
• Staying updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Participating in Agile processes like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven Android development experience with a portfolio of released applications.
• Proficiency in Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, different Android versions, and screen sizes.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Android UI design principles, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Android ecosystem libraries, code versioning tools like Git, and secure data practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork skills, and experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with MVVM, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, DI frameworks, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and accessibility features.

Nice to have:

• Experience with payment processing and financial services applications.
• Knowledge of security and encryption practices in mobile development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
