Job summary

BeachHead Inc. is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer–Databricks & Power BI to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards for a major financial client in Canada.

You will work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and support data integration and modelling in a data-rich environment. The role focuses on Power BI, Databricks, and wealth management reporting, with pay rate CAD 70.00/hr – 75.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX.
• Expertise with Databricks, Delta tables, and data modelling.
• Proficient in SQL and data relationships.
• Familiar with Power BI security features including RLS.
• Experience with data connectivity, refresh, and troubleshooting reports.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for various business functions.
• Build data models, DAX calculations, and establish connections with Databricks and other data sources.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Manage data connectivity, refresh processes, and ensure data security via RLS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, data, or reporting issues.
• Support advanced Power BI features, including security, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
• Demonstrate expertise in data relationships, SQL, and Delta tables / Golden Layer data.
• Assist in automating data workflows using tools like Azure Data Factory or Azure Pipelines (Nice to Have).
• Share knowledge on data security practices and Power BI best practices.

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Analytics Engineer–Databricks & Power BI.This position involves designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards, working closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, and supporting data integration and modelling efforts within a data-rich environment. The role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in Power BI, Databricks, and data visualisation to support wealth management and client reporting projects.
Pay rate range (CAD): $70.00/hr – $75.00/hr
