Business Unit : investment operations / Team : visualization / Québec-Montréal-Toronto / Hybrid / Start date: as soon as possible

Our Investment Operations team is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its Visualization team. The candidate would be part of a team that performs a critical role in the production and oversight of financial statements and other fund publications, in addition to playing a significant role in our strategy towards implementing and strengthening the industrialisation of institutional client reporting. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to details and a deep understanding of financial reporting standards and regulation.

Reporting to the Director, Fund Operations Management and Visualization, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements and fund publications (Fund Facts and Fund Profiles) for mutual funds and segregated funds, including gathering, verifying, and organizing financial data from various sources.
  • Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and statement of shareholders’ equity.
  • Identifying and investigating discrepancies, irregularities, and other potential financial risks.
  • Ensuring financial statements comply with all industry regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring and implementing appropriate controls surrounding the production of various financial reports, regulatory reporting, and other investment publications.
  • Having a sound understanding of data governance and actively collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assessing client needs and assisting in the implementation of processes and tools to produce institutional client reporting.
  • Collaborating to understand data needs and requirements for institutional clients and developing visualization models and solutions to meet those requirements.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA may be preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Good understanding of net asset value calculations, investment products, and performance.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in working with financial data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and understand complex financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bilingual (English and French) due to the culture change and operating model on a North American scale.
