Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton LLP is seeking a Senior Analyst, U.S. Corporate Tax to join our Ontario practice. You will prepare U.S. federal and state corporate returns and research complex tax issues for diverse clients.

Ideal candidates have an accounting diploma or certificate and 2–3 years in public practice, with strong knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and excellent client service. You’ll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in Waterloo.

Qualifications

  • Accounting diploma or certificate; designation is an asset.
  • 2–3 years in public practice preferred.
  • Experience in personal tax compliance.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and US tax compliance.

  • Preparing file memoranda and client correspondence
  • Proactively resolve tax related issues with clients and other staff members through direct contact with them and researching and drafting responses
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for additional tax services
  • Provide exceptional client service
Qualifications
  • Accounting Diploma or Certificate; an accounting designation is considered an asset
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in public practice is preferred
  • Experience in personal tax compliance
  • Career-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge in accounting and US tax compliance

  • Salary range: $63,750–$83,750 in Waterloo (may vary by location)
