Job summary

Doane Grant Thornton in Canada is hiring a Senior Analyst in Domestic Tax to support tax compliance, planning and advisory for corporate, personal, partnership and trust tax issues. This role involves direct client contact, CRA communications, and year-end planning, contributing to a growing national practice.

The successful candidate will hold a CPA designation and be enrolled in, or willing to enroll in, in-depth tax courses, with strong analytical and client service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engaging in tax compliance, planning and strategy development by analyzing client tax issues, relevant tax laws, provisions, and jurisprudence
  • Preparing corporate tax, personal, partnership and trust returns
  • Proactively resolve tax related issues with clients and other staff members through direct contact with them and researching and drafting responses
  • Communicate with the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) on behalf of our clients
  • Year-end tax planning analysis

As a Senior Analyst, Domestic Tax your responsibilities will include:
