We’re looking for a Senior Analyst, SOX Compliance to join our Finance team in Montreal. You will support the best practices of our finance division to drive internal audit and SOX compliance at Lightspeed.

As part of the finance team, you will help the Internal Audit and SOX Compliance team grow by aiding in the quarterly 52-109 and annual SOX 404 certification processes by leading several business process cycles, integration of acquired companies as well as process improvements for the Company. Additionally, you may participate in other ad-hoc compliance projects to better the Internal Audit & SOX Compliance functions.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, SOX Compliance, you will assist in the testing, documentation and review of SOX controls, including reviewing the applicable risks, processes, and flowcharts;
  • Involvement in the integration of newly acquired companies regarding the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of newly acquired entities’ SOX-relevant processes;
  • Champion the internal audit system (AuditBoard);
  • Participate in the external audit process; and
  • Participate in ad-hoc special projects.

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • CPA, or in the process of obtaining the designation
  • At least 4 years of experience as an internal or external auditor
  • Robust knowledge of SOX requirements
  • Knowledge of the application of IFRS
  • Experience in situations that require significant attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience with AuditBoard, NetSuite and/or Salesforce
  • Experience in a high-growth, technology company
  • Excellent written and spoken French
