We’re seeking a Senior Analyst, Real Estate Investments to join our Real Estate Investments team. The hire will be involved in all aspects of real estate investments and asset management processes.

About Your Role

As a Senior Analyst, Real Estate Investments, you will :

  1. Collaborate with investment managers in analyzing potential real estate transactions across asset classes including residential, office, retail, and industrial assets, in various transaction forms such as direct asset transactions and private funds.
  2. Lead in developing and validating financial models related to real estate investments (debt or equity).
  3. Prepare investment recommendation memorandums for approval.
  4. Analyze cash flows and project returns.
  5. Assess the impact of various assumptions on performance: revenue, operating expenses, financing, taxes, fees, etc.
  6. Evaluate investment risks.
  7. Review the asset’s operating budget and financial statements.
  8. Analyze partnership structures.
  9. Participate in presenting investment opportunities at weekly Real Estate Management Investment Committee meetings.
  10. Support investment managers in due diligence processes.
  11. Summarize and follow up on external reports (physical, environmental, financial, legal, tax, insurance, etc.).
  12. Assist in drafting administrative documents and business plans for assets, asset management presentations, partner reviews, and board reports.
  13. Engage in active asset management and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  14. Conduct ongoing valuation assessments to ensure market alignment.
  15. Develop Major Decisions Memoranda with evidence-based recommendations.
  16. Monitor real estate indexes.
  17. Travel may be required.

What You’ll Need

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate; MSc, MBA considered an asset.
  2. Professional designations such as CFA or CPA are assets.
  3. Minimum two years of relevant experience, especially in real estate transactions.
  4. Proficiency with MS Office; ARGUS knowledge is an asset.
  5. Strong interest in real estate investment.
  6. Excellent writing and financial analysis skills.
  7. Ability to build relationships internally and externally.
  8. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  9. Self-starter with high autonomy, proactive, and results-driven.
  10. Team player, organized, adaptable, with strong communication skills in English and French or willingness to learn.
