Senior Analyst, Modern Endpoint Specialist

Location: Brookfield Place - 181 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

As the Modern Endpoint Specialist, you will be responsible for improving, supporting, and maintaining the end user hardware and OS. You will own the management, administration, and optimization of the platform.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following attributes:

  2. Professionalism - candidate maintains composure and integrity while providing timely support to end users.
  3. Detail Oriented – candidate takes the time to listen and understand the issue and works with the appropriate teams to resolve.

Note: Night and Weekend work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct Hardware Certification
  2. Conduct OS Certification
  3. Manage Firmware and driver update standards and governance
  4. Evaluate new hardware models
  5. 3rd Level Support for Hardware and OS issues
  6. Endpoint Security Hardening
  7. Process automation using PowerShell
  8. Monitor, Remediate and report on the health and compliance of Managed Devices

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Endpoint Management and configuration.
  3. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are a plus.
  4. Strong knowledge of Windows and MacOS, IOS and Android operating systems, as well as common software applications and networking principles.
  5. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  6. Effective communication skills to interact with end-users and team members, providing clear and concise support and instructions.
  7. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate system configurations and documentation.
  8. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple issues simultaneously.
  9. Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing and resolving technical issues.
  10. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud platforms such as Intune, Autopilot, Entra, and M365.
  11. Advanced PowerShell knowledge is required.
  12. Experience with Windows task sequence development.
  13. Experience with Endpoint Management specifically with Intune and SCCM.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, contributing technical expertise and support as needed.
  2. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  3. Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures for efficient and secure operations.
  4. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in desktop technologies and best practices.
