Edelman Data & Intelligence (DxI) is looking for a Senior Research Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data & Intelligence, the role will focus on providing insights and consultative support to our account teams to help drive business results for our clients.

This position requires experience with various statistical methods that are necessary for interpreting data sets, as well as a passion for understanding their impact on human behavior and the big picture. You also have excellent organizational skills, strong design abilities in PowerPoint or developing dashboards, and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines.


Responsibilities:
  • Provides day-to-day account management guidance that will assist clients in meeting their research objectives
  • Effectively distill data into coherent analysis, insights and ultimately actionable recommendations in straight forward and simple language and communicate research findings in visually engaging PowerPoint presentations or Dashboards
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of research initiatives, including implementation and oversight of studies, and responding to ad-hoc research requests
  • Ability to support teams and clients with media monitoring and social listening needs as required
  • Works with client and account teams to leverage data-focused insights
  • Participate in client presentations and support new business pitches specific to measurement strategy, landscape analysis, campaign analysis, content optimization, social and web analytics, media monitoring, and similar activities
  • Act as a lead on Q&A of outgoing reports to ensure deliverables meet standards
  • Support Senior Staff on day-to-day project operations including: project status updates, support on proposal development, project management, resource planning, etc.
  • Stays informed about client industries including their technologies, products, target markets and competitors
  • Viewed as strong "team player" and serve as role model to more junior team members
  • Maintain strong internal/external relationships; support fellow team members
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data, analytics, or researchwith potential areas including consulting, advertising, media or publishing, ideally from a communications agency or research house
  • A demonstrated ability to think critically, solve problems, and develop a narrative based on data driven insights
  • Experience with the development of research and measurement frameworks based on clearly defined objectives
  • Experience with platforms like Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, comScore, SimilarWeb, Global Web Index, Pathmatics, Statista, or Semrush
  • An understanding of data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Strong PowerPoint design skills and abilities, including the ability to communicate quantitative data into a visually engaging story and organize/ integrate large amounts of information into concise presentation
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including strong skills in document and presentation development
  • Strategic yet creative thinker, self-starter, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
