  • Lead the preparation of client-facing reports, including renewals, actuarial valuations, financial statements, marketing analyses, and plan design, ensuring accuracy and alignment with reporting standards.

  • Oversee marketing initiatives by preparing and submitting specifications to insurance carriers, addressing complex queries, and providing technical analysis and strategic recommendations.

  • Analyze and interpret data, produce experience reports, and present renewal insights to clients, offering actionable recommendations.

  • Maintain and enhance client files while ensuring data integrity and compliance with industry standards.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for coordination with insurance carriers, facilitating complex negotiations and issue resolution.

  • Conduct industry research to identify emerging trends and their implications for client benefit plans.

  • Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering their technical and professional growth.

  • Drive special projects, including process improvements and innovative client solutions, showcasing leadership and initiative.

What You’ll Need for Success

  • Post-secondary education in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related discipline. Progress towards an actuarial designation is a strong asset.

  • 3-5 years of experience in actuarial analysis, employee benefits consulting, or a related field.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.

  • Effective time management, prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.

  • A strong team player with demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work independently.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to clients and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant tools and software, including Excel and actuarial modeling programs.

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to exercise initiative and drive projects to completion.
