Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting to lead data validation, dashboards, and reporting for the Business Optimization Planning team. You will verify data quality and oversee scheduled client data and ad hoc reports to ensure timely, accurate information across Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto offices.

About The Role

Join the Business Optimization Planning team, in the Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting position. In this role, you will lead the creation, validation, and ongoing monitoring activities to evaluate data quality, performance, and regulatory compliance. You will manage the oversight of scheduled client data, dashboards, and reporting to guarantee that all information is accurately processed and delivered punctually. You will also produce Ad/hoc report, strategy and tangible actions mined from multiple data sources.

This is a temporary position until November 2027.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide analysis using a variety of analytical techniques, approaches, and methods and identify issues and options to make logical, well-reasoned, and effective decisions.
  • Conduct complex analyses involving multiple stakeholders to identify trends, inform decision-making, and evaluate business opportunities and threats.
  • Analyze financial and non-financial information using mainly standard tools and methods. Work on analysis of increased complexity, which could involve multiple stakeholders and/or dependencies.
  • Produce comprehensive reports (annual, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc) and assist departments with problem-solving.
  • Prepare and communicate financial information for internal and external stakeholders, including financial reports, ATIP’s, Parliamentary questions and complex reconciliations.
  • Complete complex recurring or non-routine reconciliations and reporting following pre-established processes.
  • Develop and analyze reports (financial, regular, and ad hoc) requiring further analysis from various systems.
  • Participate in review of operational processes and policies to ensure sound and consistent financial and non-financial analysis protocol and document procedures to ensure business continuity and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Analyze various reports, data, and business processes to ensure compliance with business logic.
What You’ll Need
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field such as accounting, finance or business administration.
  • A minimum of three years of related work experience in finance or reporting. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial, legislative and regulatory environment.
  • A good understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles.
  • A strong ability to gather and analyze information, synthesize key elements and summarize with recommendations.
  • Solid communications and strong organization skills to participate in several projects.
  • The ability to work in a multi-demand environment.
  • The ability to function in a sophisticated technological environment using quantitative and statistical analysis software such as the standard Microsoft suite, Databricks, Python, Power BI, Tableau as well as other consolidation and reporting tools.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had
  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
