Accountabilities
- Support nuclear safety and licensing in Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA).
- Develop, review, and modify PSA-related products like fault trees, event trees, and risk reports.
- Provide PSA consulting services to external clients.
- Support operational risk and reliability for nuclear utilities.
- Participate in project management activities.
- Develop proposals for new PSA work, including cost estimates and scheduling.
- Assist in strategic planning to address customer needs.
- Stay updated on PSA industry developments.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of science and engineering principles, typically from a 4-year university degree.
- Experience with Probabilistic Risk Assessment techniques and risk management.
- Knowledge of CANDU reactor design and operation is an asset.
- Understanding of reactor safety, licensing principles, and Canadian regulatory standards.
- Experience with PSA-related software and standards like CSA N286.
- Project management skills and P.Eng. or eligibility for licensure in Canada are preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in PSA, risk management, or nuclear engineering.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and client interfacing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
