Accountabilities
  • Support nuclear safety and licensing in Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA).
  • Develop, review, and modify PSA-related products like fault trees, event trees, and risk reports.
  • Provide PSA consulting services to external clients.
  • Support operational risk and reliability for nuclear utilities.
  • Participate in project management activities.
  • Develop proposals for new PSA work, including cost estimates and scheduling.
  • Assist in strategic planning to address customer needs.
  • Stay updated on PSA industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of science and engineering principles, typically from a 4-year university degree.
  • Experience with Probabilistic Risk Assessment techniques and risk management.
  • Knowledge of CANDU reactor design and operation is an asset.
  • Understanding of reactor safety, licensing principles, and Canadian regulatory standards.
  • Experience with PSA-related software and standards like CSA N286.
  • Project management skills and P.Eng. or eligibility for licensure in Canada are preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in PSA, risk management, or nuclear engineering.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and client interfacing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
