Job summary

Choice Properties is seeking a Senior Analyst, Cyber Security to support and enhance the organization’s security program. Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security, this role plays a key part in advancing security initiatives across threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessments, policy alignment, and security awareness management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in information security or a related IT role.
• Post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized security certifications are preferred (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISA, CISM, SC-300/SC-401).
• Strong verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support cyber security assessments and align with NIST CSF 2.0 and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage security awareness and training programs across the organization.
• GRC tasks including vendor risk evaluations and remediation tracking.
• Administer security tools such as Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Respond to security tickets and requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate vulnerability management and generate compliance reports.
• Monitor security alerts and assist incident response.
• Maintain expertise with Microsoft security suite (Purview, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID).

Position Overview

Choice Properties is seeking a Senior Analyst, Cyber Security to support and enhance the organization’s cyber security program. Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security, this role plays a key part in advancing security initiatives across threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessments, policy alignment, and security awareness management.

The Senior Analyst will administer key security technologies, with a strong focus on the Microsoft security ecosystem and enterprise monitoring platforms. The successful candidate is a proactive and highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively manages competing priorities, and collaborates across the organization to strengthen Choice Properties’ security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Support cyber security assessments and audits by aligning organizational practices with NIST CSF 2.0 and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Develop, maintain, and refine internal cyber security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure continuous compliance and operational efficiency.
• Manage the enterprise security awareness and training program to cultivate a strong security culture across all departments.
• Execute Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tasks, including vendor risk evaluations, internal risk assessments, and remediation tracking.
• Administer cyber security tools across email security, endpoint protection, and monitoring systems, including Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Resolve user-reported security tickets, inquiries, and technical requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate vulnerability management workflows by identifying risks, tracking remediation progress, and generating compliance reports.
• Monitor real-time security alerts, investigate potential threats, and support incident response efforts.
• Maintain operational expertise within the Microsoft security suite, specifically Microsoft Purview, Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related IT role.
• Post-secondary education specializing in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.
• Industry-recognized information security certifications (i.e. Security+, CySA+, CISA, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), or Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate (SC-401)) are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
