In this role, you will support the VP, Corporate Finance, in external financial communication, corporate finance and analytical initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with various internal teams to ensure timely and accurate external and executive reporting, while also contributing to strategic financial analysis and process improvements.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Prepare the quarterly and annual MD&A for multiple funds, working collaboratively with accounting, capital markets, legal, and operations teams, ensuring accurate data analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly executive reporting packages including dashboards, KPIs, variance analyses, and commentary.
  • Monitor and synthesize industry trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare the quarterly fair value modeling process under IFRS for the multi-family asset fund.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of underlying assets to support accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with the year-end appraisal and audit processes related to fair value model outcomes.
  • Assist the preparation and execution of offering memorandums for multiple asset funds.
  • Support scenario analysis for major asset investments or corporate initiatives.
  • We are a flexible and proactive team, readily taking on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with CPA or CFA designation.
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting environment, including hands-on experience with external financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
