We seek a Senior Analyst to join the Investment Risk & Control (IRC) team in London, Ontario, working out of the VersaBank Innovation Centre of Excellence (VICE) office.

This vital role involves risk management of the bank’s product offerings, focusing on commercial equipment risk analysis, legal documentation review, transaction processing, audit, and portfolio management. You will evaluate financial statements, commercial credits, collateral, and conduct due diligence on lease and loan transactions.

You will collaborate closely with the VP, IRC, Account Managers, Team Leads, and Clients to ensure compliance and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities include :

• Participate in receivable purchase program and funding audits, reviewing commercial credit and documentation for client portfolios.
• Identify contracts that do not meet program eligibility and escalate for review.
• Communicate audit findings and risks clearly.
• Maintain records of due diligence findings and decisions.
• Monitor client exposures for compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of funding and credit packages for same-day wire transfers.
• Assist in improving audit processes.
• Support commercial funding, reporting, and credit teams.
• Represent the team with senior management and external partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Business degree or relevant experience.

At least 5 years in commercial equipment underwriting, lease analysis, or similar roles.

Experience mentoring junior analysts.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Knowledge of US and CAD securitization and leasing is an asset.

Experience with legal documentation related to leases or loans.

Advanced MS Office skills and ability to learn new systems.

Self-motivated with good time management and multitasking skills.

Critical thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills.

Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
