Job Description

Our team is growing, and we are actively hiring a Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence to join us! The Business Intelligence team provides key insights across the customer lifecycle, supporting functions within the Allstate Group (Allstate, Pembridge, PAFCO, and Ivantage). The successful candidate will provide data-driven insights and make recommendations to enhance business performance aligned with the group’s strategic goals.

Accountabilities:

1. Design and develop solutions to generate insights for sharing with partners to inform business decisions.
2. Advise stakeholders on metrics and measurement strategies for their processes.
3. Gather requirements ensuring alignment with overall objectives and insights needed.
4. Create Power BI reports and dashboards to analyze data trends and provide insights.
5. Prioritize business and information needs with management.
6. Identify process improvement opportunities.
7. Develop and implement databases, data collection, and analytics strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
8. Visually communicate data, analyses, and findings effectively.
9. Lead multiple project streams and provide technical guidance to BI analysts.
10. Implement internal data process improvements, automate manual processes, and optimize data delivery.
11. Develop and optimize SAS/SQL programs for efficiency.
12. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and related services (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Degree in Math, Stats, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in marketing, actuarial, or analytics roles.
3. At least 3 years’ experience with Base SAS/EG, SAS Macro, SQL, Power BI.
4. Strong expertise in Power BI and visual analytics tools.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and in teams.
7. Innovative mindset for improving effectiveness and productivity.
8. Strong understanding of relational databases.
9. Analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve stakeholder issues and present findings.
10. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with insurance/actuarial data is a plus.
