Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Analyst in Calgary, AB to support a growing commercial mortgage portfolio within the real estate finance space. You will analyze financing applications, review documentation, and assess risk to ensure alignment with insurer and investor requirements.

Ideal candidates have CMHC and construction financing experience, plus 5+ years in CRE lending or underwriting, and strong Excel skills. This is a fully onsite Calgary position with a competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and/or MBA in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline
• 2-3 years of experience with CMHC and construction financing
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, or underwriting
• Strong financial analysis skills, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analysis
• Knowledge of commercial real estate lending regulations, ownership structures, and AML requirements
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

Aston Carter is currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst on behalf of a well-established organization in the commercial real estate financing space.

This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with experience in CMHC financing, construction lending, and commercial real estate underwriting who are looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree and/or MBA in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline

• 2-3 years of experience with CMHC and construction financing

• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, or underwriting

• Strong financial analysis skills, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analysis

• Knowledge of commercial real estate lending regulations, ownership structures, and AML requirements

• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

Nice to Have:

• Experience in development, private equity, property valuation, cost consulting, or real estate accounting

• Bilingual in English and French

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $56.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
