Job summary

Prenuvo is seeking a Senior AI Applied Scientist II (Agentic) in Vancouver. You will own end‑to‑end model development spanning clinical text, imaging data, and structured data, advancing foundation models and autonomous agents.

You will design experiments, evaluate safety/reliability, and collaborate with clinical and ML teams to deploy production‑quality solutions, shaping next‑gen healthcare AI.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in CS, computational linguistics, AI/ML, statistics, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of ML/NLP experience with a publication or applied‑research track record.
• Expert‑level PyTorch and proficiency with modern LLM fine‑tuning libraries (Transformers, Unsloth, vLLM, DeepSpeed, Axolotl).
• Hands‑on expertise in LLM Fine‑Tuning & Alignment: SFT, LoRA/QLoRA, RLHF and DPO on open‑source models.
• Demonstrated depth in Agentic AI Architectures: designing/deploying LLM agents, tool use, memory, planning.

Responsibilities

• LLM Fine‑Tuning & Domain Adaptation: lead end‑to‑end fine‑tuning on clinical text and radiology reports.
• Agentic AI System Architecture: design/operationalize autonomous AI agents with multi‑step reasoning.
• Comprehensive NLP & LLM Evaluation: build automated/human‑in‑the‑loop evaluation pipelines; detect hallucinations.
• Multimodal Integration: connect imaging foundation models with LLMs and clinical data.
• Experiment Design & Validation: own study scoping and rigorous benchmarking.
• Data Quality & Clinical Framing: set data standards and annotation criteria with clinicians.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: raise code quality and share reusable frameworks.
• Production Delivery: ensure production‑grade models with validation and monitoring.
