Job summary

Hydro One Limited is seeking an innovative AI Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise to design, build, and productionize enterprise-grade AI and ML solutions. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, AI/ML, Generative AI, and cloud platforms, enabling business teams to leverage trusted enterprise data for intelligent decision-making and automation.

You will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, architects, governance and cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software, data, ML or AI engineering.
Strong Snowflake expertise including architecture, data modeling and performance optimization.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Experience building AI/ML or Generative AI solutions on enterprise data platforms.
Experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector databases/search, RAG and Generative AI development.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable AI/ML solutions using Snowflake and Cortex.
Build and productionize Generative AI applications, including RAG and AI assistants.
Develop data pipelines and AI workflows integrating structured and unstructured enterprise data.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, architects, governance and security teams, and business stakeholders.
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI applications for performance, cost, and model quality.
