Reporting To : Director, Data Science and Development

About the Role

As a senior technical leader in the data science team, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and deploying AI-driven solutions that have a broad impact across the organization. You’ll bring deep expertise in data science and machine learning, and help guide innovation strategies, best practices, and the development of scalable AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in AI and data science, with influence across multiple business lines and product areas.
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale AI solutions, including production-grade model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Drive innovation by developing new strategies, tools, and processes that enhance the organization’s data science capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, business stakeholders, and fellow data scientists—to embed AI insights into business operations.
• Build and maintain tools to monitor model performance and ensure reliability in production environments.
• Share research findings and methodologies with internal teams to foster a culture of learning and excellence.
• Contribute to the data science centre of excellence by promoting best practices, mentoring peers, and championing new approaches.
• Lead the rollout of AI initiatives with a focus on business-critical applications and long-term scalability.

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (PhD is a plus) or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience in data science or computer engineering.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building Generative AI solutions.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), and familiarity with tools like Databricks and Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong background in deploying and managing data science pipelines in production environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across the organization.
