Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Senior Analyst for AI Enablement & Analytics (12 Month Contract) in Winnipeg. The role focuses on translating business opportunities into AI use cases, designing experiments, and delivering measurable value through data-driven insights.

You will partner with data engineers/scientists to build analytical products and guide adoption of AI solutions. The position requires a degree in a quantitative field and 5+ years of analytics experience, with strong Power BI/SQL skills

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Engineering).
5+ years applying data analytics or digital enablement to improve outcomes.
Ability to translate business needs into analytical questions and actionable recommendations.
Experience designing experiments, pilots, or performance measurement approaches.
Experience collaborating with stakeholders and technical partners to define requirements.
Proficiency with analytics/reporting tools (Power BI, SQL) and data platforms/cloud environments (Azure, Databricks, Python).
Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
Ability to influence through collaboration and credibility rather than authority.
Security clearance requirement: Reliability Status (Canada Life pays checks).

Responsibilities

Lead translation of complex opportunities into AI-use cases and measurable outcomes.
Own analytical approaches, including experiments and reporting, to test AI value.
Guide data collection, validation, testing, and monitoring of AI solutions.
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to source and manage data for analytical products.
Turn findings into clear recommendations to influence decisions about AI opportunities and adoption.
Develop workshops, training materials, and measurement practices to improve adoption of AI solutions.
