Job summary

Geotab is seeking a Senior IT Application Specialist to lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of AI-driven solutions to design, configure, and maintain Geotab’s enterprise IT application systems.

You will be the primary subject matter expert, shaping the strategic roadmap for complex portfolios and mentoring team members to raise AI and application maturity. A strong emphasis on AI-powered automation, production-grade code, and governance drives daily work.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in technical, functional, and system support of IT applications.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered automation in production environments.
Advanced proficiency using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI) with production-grade code writing.
Strong programming in Python, PowerShell, and Bash; Linux administration; SSO (SAML, LDAPS) and Zero Trust knowledge.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications—from roadmap definition and architectural strategy through deployment and health monitoring.
Write, review, and orchestrate production-grade code using AI tools and deploy automated workflows with LLM APIs.
Lead design and implement AI agent skills and tool integrations with governance.
Deploy and manage AIOps monitoring for predictive detection and automated anomaly identification.
Mentor IT Applications Specialists and create SOPs and technical documentation.
