Job summary

Google Ottawa, Canada hosts a Senior Forward Deployed Detection and Response Consultant within Mandiant's National Security team. You will embed with clients to build secure, resilient operations and lead incident response, threat hunting, and advanced detection initiatives.

With a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in SOC/malware/threat hunting, you’ll communicate findings to technical and executive audiences, mentor juniors, and collaborate across product and client teams in a bilingual environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years in SOC analyst, malware research, threat hunting or similar roles with EDR/SIEM.
• Experience leading incident response activities.
• Eligible for or holding a valid Personnel Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and customer teams to detect, respond to, and contain incidents.
• Design and deploy agentic AI solutions to support detection, response and remediation.
• Identify attacker TTPs and IOCs for current and future investigations.
• Lead complex client-facing investigations spanning cloud, endpoint and network data.
• Develop comprehensive reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
