Job summary

Intact is seeking a Senior AI Developer to join our growing team in Canada. You will design and implement production-ready data models and ML pipelines using Python, Spark/PySpark, Databricks Unity Catalog, and AWS, powering real-time and batch workflows.

You’ll collaborate with data scientists, platform teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex architecture into scalable solutions, drive MLOps practices, and ensure high-quality code and deployments in a collaborative, hybrid work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data / engineering.
• Strong with big data and cloud: Spark/PySpark, Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake), and AWS (S3, IAM, ECS/EKS, ALB).
• Comfortable with streaming systems: Kafka and real-time processing.
• Strong coding skills: Python; Java/Spring Boot for backend.
• Hands-on MLOps: MLflow, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and monitoring tools.
• Bilingual in French and English; able to interact with colleagues nationwide across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build the path from discovery to production. Ensure data scientists can run models in Python or PySpark on Databricks batch jobs and Kafka streams.
• Contribute to delivery. Translate architecture ideas into sprint work, review code, migrate legacy services toward modern setups.
• Raise the bar on MLOps with DevOps and QA on testing, model versioning, safe deployments, and drift monitoring.
• Be a technical partner to Data Science, evaluating new algorithms and data feeds before production.
• Collaborate across the tribe with engineers at all levels and foster continuous improvement.
