Job summary

Intact is seeking a Senior AI Developer to grow our AI capabilities and MLOps platform in a hybrid Montreal team. You will drive end-to-end software delivery, from workflow orchestration and APIs to front-end UI, collaborating with data scientists to build AI solutions that align with business goals.

We value strong Python, cloud and observability skills, plus experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Delta Lake. A bilingual FR-EN profile is required for collaboration across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of development experience.
• Strong Python skills; Angular/React experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), containers, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
• Experience with automated testing for backend/UI and observability tools.
• Knowledge of GenAI components: prompting, embeddings, RAG, tuning.
• Data engineering experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is a plus.
• French-English bilingualism required for Quebec candidates.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the MLOps platform to improve operational processes and reliability.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of software products from workflows to UI.
• Collaborate with data scientists to address business needs using quality data.
• Ensure AI solutions integrate with insurance operations systems.
• Stay current with AI/ML advances and apply new techniques.
• Utilize CI/CD and agile methods for rapid, reliable feature delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the squad.
