Job summary

G2i Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Training, to help evaluate the quality of AI-assisted coding interactions. This is a remote contract role with flexible hours and weekly commitment.

You will review how models think like engineers, assess explanations, and provide clear, opinionated feedback. Strong English communication is required; prior exposure to Codex/Claude/Cursor helps. Projects run 2 weeks to months with start after take-home.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge whether outputs are useful, correct at a high level, and aligned with engineering thinking.
• Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just the code.
• Distinguish between levels of response quality (2 vs 4).
• Provide clear, opinionated written feedback on what worked and what felt off.
• Help define what great looks like when working with tools like Cursor, Codex and Claude Code.
