Your Opportunity:

The Senior Advisor is a key role within the Connect Care initiative, aimed at transforming healthcare delivery across Alberta. As part of the Chief Medical Information Office (CMIO) team, this position provides a unique opportunity to work directly with prescribers and clinical leaders, shaping the future of healthcare through informatics and education. Reporting to the Program Manager, Prescriber Experience, the Senior Advisor is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting training and education strategies tailored to prescribers. This includes aligning workflows with Connect Care's capabilities, leveraging the Epic platform, and fostering system adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver role-based training for prescribers, customizing Epic materials to AHS workflows.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create targeted educational packages.
  • Lead training sessions, assess user readiness, and support ongoing learning.
  • Facilitate organizational change for seamless transition to Connect Care.
  • Align training programs with Connect Care’s strategic goals.
  • Provide expertise on prescriber workflows and educational challenges.

Additional Details:

  • Location: CN Tower, eligible for remote work within Alberta
  • Union: Exempt
  • Employment Type: Full Time, 1.00 FTE
  • Salary Range: $37.82 - $64.86 per hour

  • Work Hours: 7.75 hours/day, dayshift, weekends off

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree; clinical background is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare experience with leadership or education focus.
  • Knowledge of Alberta Health Services and clinical informatics.
  • Epic certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship skills.
  • Experience managing training programs in healthcare settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CIS application curriculum development and training.
  • Current Epic Principal Training Certification.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Clinical background.
  • CPHIMSS certification.
