YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Corporate Director, Maintenance and Asset Management, you will be part of the Operational Sustainability Department. You will work closely with mine sites, ensuring global compliance with Asset Management strategies through implementation, improvement, and standardization of business processes, metrics, systems, technology, and interfaces, mainly within maintenance. This position promotes knowledge transfer of best practices and external benchmarking. You will collaborate with other functional leaders to achieve common goals while promoting Agnico Eagle’s values, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Update, improve, and safeguard Agnico’s standards for Maintenance and Asset Management practices.
  • Identify and understand site-specific Maintenance and Asset Management needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Review and improve business cases for capital expenditure requests.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities through process, technology, or people development.
  • Lead or co-lead Maintenance process-related change initiatives.
  • Represent Maintenance in Insurance and Safety requirements.
  • Assess critical processes and equipment for risk mitigation.
  • Support sites in Change Management processes and initiatives.
  • Review Root Cause Analysis reports of critical failures and participate in investigations.
  • Support the implementation of Condition-Based technologies and techniques.
  • Develop and track Life Cycle Costing and Total Cost of Ownership for critical equipment.
  • Ensure KPI consistency across sites.
  • Assess regulatory gaps and update processes accordingly.
  • Support equipment and process standardization strategies.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in maintenance within the mining industry, especially in asset management at open pit and underground operations.
  • Experience with business process reengineering, mapping, and modification.
  • Multi-division and global expertise.
  • Proven influencing and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with major ERP systems, preferably with implementation experience as a business owner.
  • Results-oriented with a capacity to deploy targets and actions.
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with options for teleworking or from offices in Toronto, Timmins, Montreal, or Abitibi. Travel to sites is required periodically (30-50%).
  • Preferred location is Toronto or near sites in similar time zones to facilitate travel and communication.
