SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30

The challenges that await you

Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent is responsible, along with their work team, for data solutions, data management of the organization, and data governance.


You play a key role in designing data solutions to enable all city services to leverage, analyze, and enhance enterprise and geospatial data.


You work closely with all city departments and offices to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices, continuously generating more value while optimizing the quality and integrity of the organization’s data.

More specifically, here are some examples of responsibilities:

  • Participates in data exploitation by overseeing analysis tools, methods, and technologies related to data exploitation.
  • Develops various means of data analysis and determines data cross-referencing solutions to extract the required information.
  • Designs and models enterprise data at the levels of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Implements analytical data solutions requiring IT expertise in data using advanced and innovative techniques such as machine learning, Internet of Things-related techniques, etc.
  • Ensures the operationalization of data security by overseeing the application and compliance with rules, and implements technological tools to support them while respecting cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Makes recommendations and contributes to the development of technological strategies for data analysis that must be available and shared consistently across the City and/or externally (public and open data) based on industry best practices.
  • Participates in data governance by developing and implementing data governance policies to ensure quality, integrity, security of data, etc.
  • Participates in data management by supervising the collection, storage, and analysis of data to ensure they are, among other things, well organized and easily accessible.
The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a (BAC) in computer science, mathematics and computer science, software engineering, or any other relevant field;
  • Have eight (8) years of relevant experience in the role, primarily in business intelligence, analytics, governance, management, and data exploitation.
  • Master business intelligence techniques, advanced analytics, and data warehousing;
  • Master machine learning;
  • Master data solution modeling;
  • Master the design and construction of data architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative, and especially analytical systems;
  • Master structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data management systems;
  • Master data governance;
  • Master master data management;
  • Master Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Python language, and Microsoft data technologies;
  • Highly developed communication and outreach skills
