National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Advisor in fund accounting operations to contribute to the delivery of financial statements and NAV-related duties within a collaborative team.

You will apply IFRS standards, verify notes for interim and annual reports, and support the mutual funds and ETFs audit process while maintaining strong client and auditor relationships. A disciplined, analytical professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least five years' relevant experience.
• Experience analyzing financial statement notes and IFRS standards.
• Knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and auditing financial statements.
• Excellent communication, time and priority management.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and rigor.

Responsibilities

• Act as an expert applying accounting and regulatory standards, especially IFRS.
• Verify data and notes to financial statements aligned with investment strategies.
• Participate in the annual audit of mutual funds and ETFs.
• Analyze how new products impact operations and financial statement production.
• Identify partner needs and advise to support informed decisions in meetings.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal/external partners (clients, auditors, National Bank Trust).
• Provide specialized advice to all parties.
• Contribute to colleagues' development by sharing knowledge and keeping docs up to date.
