Job description

A career as a Senior Advisor in ESG Energy Management within the ESG Operations & Innovations team at National Bank offers the opportunity to specialize in developing strategies to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across the bank's national real estate portfolio.

This role also provides involvement in all aspects of ESG, as well as Accessibility, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). Leveraging your technical skills, experience in the built environment, and engineering knowledge, you will contribute to creating an inclusive, adaptable, and equitable work environment, positively impacting clients and employees.

Your role

  1. Propose innovative strategies for reducing energy consumption.
  2. Participate actively in setting and achieving GHG reduction targets for the bank's real estate portfolio.
  3. Plan and implement energy reduction initiatives in collaboration with strategic partners.
  4. Ensure proper execution of challenges, priorities, and expected results with partners.
  5. Support or influence the bank's sectors in implementing EDI initiatives.
  6. Design and implement a reference guide on ESG criteria, including EDI components for the built environment.
  7. Participate in delivering ESG-related challenges and initiatives within the organization.

Your team

You will be part of the Real Estate Business Strategy sector, comprising 50 colleagues, reporting to the Senior Director of ESG Operations and Innovation. The team specializes in facility management, daily operations, and occupant services, collaborating with an external strategic partner.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, environment, or related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in energy or real estate management for large organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion standards.
  • Proficiency in project portfolio management related to energy management.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop innovative solutions and strategies.

Languages

French (required for communication with service providers and partners speaking other languages).
