Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Senior Advisor, IT Architecture to design IT solutions that align with group architecture targets, shared platforms, and strategic initiatives. You will influence business partners, coordinate with delivery teams, and ensure solutions meet data, security, and infrastructure requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least six years of relevant experience, and fluent French.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an architecture team member and advisor to sectors on application solutions and operations architecture for projects with significant impact.
  • Advise business partners to orient, plan, develop, configure, execute and monitor innovative technology solutions.
  • Design IT solutions meeting business needs and oversee policies and standards for data, application, security and infrastructure.
  • Identify and analyze potential IT solutions and issues; report major issues; provide guidelines and recommendations.
  • Represent your unit before decision-making bodies and committees.

As a Senior Advisor, IT Architecture, you design IT solutions to meet project business needs using Desjardins Group’s architecture targets and shared platforms. You ensure consistency with the organization’s structure, as well as current and future needs, and ensure that new elements are compatible with existing architecture. You influence business partners and stakeholders on solution architecture development initiatives that are strategic, complex and innovative. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth expertise across several IT fields, including data, applications, security and infrastructure. You make recommendations on IT development and implementation strategies that comply with architecture targets. You produce specialized deliverables as part of projects or initiatives that have a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor, as well as a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to :



  • Act as an architecture team member and a specialized advisor to sectors on application solutions and operations architecture and as an integrator for one or more delivery teams for projects, initiatives and development activities that have a significant impact on the organization.

  • Advise business partners and stakeholders to help them orient, plan, develop, configure, execute and monitor innovative technology solutions for the projects, mandates and strategic initiatives under your responsibility.

  • Design IT solutions that meet business needs and oversee the development of policies and standards, taking into account data, application, security and infrastructure needs to support your unit’s strategic projects and initiatives.

  • Identify and analyze potential IT solutions that meet the organization’s needs. Identify and analyze issues. Report major issues. Diagnose issues, establish guidelines and make recommendations to decision-making bodies and committees.

  • Represent your unit before decision-making bodies and committees.

  • Represent Desjardins when making agreements with external partners and organizations.
