Job summary

Alto is leading a Senior Advisor, Community Benefits role in Quebec to develop and implement a robust Community Benefits Program across the project. The role emphasizes collaboration with the PDP, engagement with diverse community groups, and strategic program oversight in Quebec.

The ideal candidate will bring eight+ years of experience in community development or related fields, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with fluency or high proficiency in English and French

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in community engagement, program management, economic development or a related area.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize community benefits.
  • Collaborate with the Private Development Partner (PDP) to deliver a CB program for the project.
  • Identify community needs and opportunities in Quebec.
  • Oversee the delivery of the project’s community benefit programs and initiatives within Quebec.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on engagement strategies and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and community groups throughout Quebec.
  • Negotiate and support Community Benefits Agreements.
  • Monitor program outcomes and report on impact.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
