Required

As a senior accounting standards and financial governance advisor, you will help design, establish, and update the organization’s financial governance and internal auditing policies, strategies, and tools. You will present processes, rules, and standards used to manage assets and cash flows. You will lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative, requiring extensive knowledge of your specialty area. Your responsibilities include making recommendations for planning and executing complex projects, coordinating with stakeholders across various fields, and serving as a subject matter expert and coach for decision-making bodies. Specifically, you will:

  • Advise clients and partners on strategic projects and initiatives
  • Develop and update policies, standards, models, and programs
  • Identify and analyze major issues, providing recommendations to decision-makers
  • Represent your unit and Desjardins’s position in external agreements
