Senior Administrator, Network

Location: Montreal, Quebec, CA, H3B 2N2

The location in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Administrator, Network. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview:
Reporting to the Network Delivery Manager, you will be part of a team undertaking projects/deployments of network and security technologies. As Senior Network Administrator, your responsibilities will include implementing and supporting network, voice and security infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvements.

Your challenges:

1. Install, configure and maintain layer 2 and 3 switches;
2. Install, configure and maintain Cisco wireless access points and controllers;
3. Install, configure, secure and maintain firewalls and remote access infrastructure;
4. Anticipate, mitigate and resolve network issues;
5. Participate in the planning, design and support of enterprise Core, LAN, WAN, Voice and wireless infrastructure;
6. Act as a technical lead for projects, participate in team meetings, project planning and requirements analysis;
7. Ensure all network infrastructure is monitored and documented;
8. Conduct and execute network infrastructure assessments and upgrades;
9. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and to improve performance/efficiency;
10. Review and evaluate new information technology developments in the field of networking.

Your profile:

1. Bilingual French and English;
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in network design, administration and support;
3. Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent relevant experience;
4. Strong experience with VLANs, port channels, trunking, etc.;
5. Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing and LAN/WAN technologies;
6. Strong experience with Cisco wireless solutions;
7. Strong experience in deploying and supporting the following:

• VPN firewalls for Lan-to-Lan and Remote Client VPN connectivity;
• Fortinet products FortiAuthenticator, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer;
• Palo Alto products Panorama and Global Protect VPN;
• Cisco ISE and Firewall Management Center (FMC).

1. Experience with Cisco voice solutions and QoS;
2. Experience with HA/DR network designs;
3. In-depth experience with Cisco IOS;
4. Strong working knowledge of network protocols and managing access control policies;
5. Cisco, Fortinet and Palo Alto certifications;
6. Willingness to be “on call” on a rotating basis.
