Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct analyses using actuarial data (e.g., product pricing, reserves, financial projections).
  2. Communicate assumptions, observations, and conclusions to stakeholders and provide recommendations within set timelines.
  3. Process Improvement:
    1. Master actuarial workflows, recommend enhancements, and implement approved changes.
    2. Develop and improve tools used in actuarial processes.
    3. Integrate effective documentation and risk controls into key steps of the actuarial workflow.
    4. Build, test, and refine processes to support IFRS 17 financial reporting, disclosures, and valuation efficiency.
    5. Enhance reporting tools and improve communication of management information.
  4. Problem-Solving & Collaboration:
    1. Solve complex problems by sharing expertise on challenging actuarial concepts and providing training to colleagues.
    2. Actively contribute to team priorities and support teammates to improve individual and team efficiency.
    3. Gain leadership experience through peer reviews, coaching teammates, and contributing to team planning and prioritization.

Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience
  2. Knowledge of Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
  3. Proficient knowledge of at least 1-2 languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, VBA, Python, R).
