They use their strong actuarial knowledge to analyse trends, identifying emerging risks and ensuring pricing strategies align with business objectives. The team leverages data-driven insights to enhance rate adequacy, competitiveness, and profitability across the commercial portfolio.

They are passionate about digging deep into the data to uncover meaningful insights and providing their take on what we should do next – this doesn’t just mean being good with numbers – it also means being able to explain complex findings in a clear, compelling way to leaders without an actuarial background. Working in collaboration with other actuaries and data scientists within our team, there are opportunities to utilize advanced analytics, and predictive modeling to refine pricing structure and ensure that Northbridge stays on the cutting edge in this competitive industry.

  4. Clearly document methodologies to make complex actuarial concepts accessible.
  5. Effectively communicate results and recommendations to non-actuarial stakeholders.

  2. Perform in-depth assessments of specific segments, risk factors, and emerging issues.
  3. Translate complex data into clear findings that inform pricing, underwriting and business decision.
  4. Communicate results of various analyses to management and other stakeholders.

Review Actuarial Planning Indications

  1. Analyse historical performance of planning segments to identify trends.
  2. Use actuarial techniques and market data to forecast future performance.
  3. Communicate results and assist regional stakeholders in selecting planning loss ratio and rate changes.

Develop and Enhance Pricing Optimization

  1. Build, refine and maintain actuarial pricing predictive models to reflect emerging trends and market conditions.
  2. Gather feedback from business stakeholders on rates, ensuring the pricing strategy aligns with market.
  3. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to review rate strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Supervise and provide assistance, training and coaching to other employees to efficiently use standard actuarial techniques.

Other related duties as assigned.

We want your talent:

If you have:
