A leading financial services organization in Montreal is seeking a Senior Actuarial Advisor to join their National Commercial Lines Pricing Actuarial Team. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in property and casualty insurance and advanced actuarial skills. The National Commercial Lines Pricing Actuarial Team is looking for a Senior Actuarial Advisor. If you want to work on various projects in close collaboration with the marketing, claims, underwriting, and sales teams in a motivating environment focused on the development of our human resources, you might be the rare gem we are looking for! You will help maintain and evolve the pricing of commercial lines insurance products in property and liability in Canada and for automobile insurance in Quebec to ensure profitable growth in line with strategic goals. More specifically, you will be required to:
Conduct in-depth analyses and diagnostics, recommend innovative solutions in pricing, segmentation, business solutions, and strategic projects
Work closely with the commercial departments and underwriting to understand and implement solutions
Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute, and control strategic projects and initiatives
Develop and update policies, standards, models, and programs to support your unit's projects and strategic initiatives
Identify, analyze, and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to governance
Recognized as a specialist, act as a reference source and coach for colleagues and peers
Represent your team to decision-making bodies
Represent Desjardins' position when concluding agreements with external partners and organizations

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Successful completion of at least six CAS exams or equivalent
Advanced proficiency in French or English, both oral and written, due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Advanced proficiency in SAS, VBA, R, Radar, and Emblem
Advanced proficiency of commercial lines property and casualty insurance
