A world in constant change. Be part of the journey! The Portfolio Management and Analysis team is looking for a candidate to join it as a Senior Actuarial Advisor. Are you interested in working on various exciting projects in close collaboration with various senior stakeholders using data analytics in a motivating environment in which we focus on developing our people? Then you may be the one we are looking for! More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on analytical topics and lead analyses using combined actuarial and artificial intelligence technology to create actionable insights.
  • Create and present data visualizations, dashboards, and action plans to senior management and decision-makers.
  • Lead and improve PM&A analytical effectiveness and best practices.
  • Build and operationalize analytical structures to provide comprehensive understanding and insights on DGIG’s personal automobile and/or property portfolios.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from databases and suggest improvements to optimize database quality and efficiency.
  • Develop understanding of actuarial predictive model monitoring to explain deviations and anomalies.
  • Coach and lead junior staff on analytical methodologies and best practices.
  • Plan and manage analytical projects.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant P&C insurance experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Advanced experience in P&C knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, R, Python
  • Successful completion of at least five CAS exams
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
  • Proficiency in English due to the duties or work tools involved, or interactions with English-speaking partners, members, and clients
