What You’ll Do

• Lead Projects: Take full ownership of project lifecycles, from proposal preparation to data analysis and report delivery, while managing client expectations and deadlines.
• Collaborate and Mentor: Lead and mentor a team of junior consultants, while working closely with BKL’s engineers, administrators, and other professionals to meet project goals.
• Advocate for Acoustics: Represent BKL at meetings and public forums, acting as an advocate for the promotion of acoustics in both private and public sectors.
• Thought Leadership: Write and present technical reports, publish research, and lead seminars to help shape the future of acoustics in Western Canada.

What You’ll Bring to the Job

• A minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in acoustics, with a focus on building acoustics.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field.
• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng. or equivalent).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• The ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and diplomacy.
• Strong technical expertise, with a solid understanding of acoustics and the ability to engage with stakeholders to influence policy and practices.
• Experience with acoustical modelling software, test equipment, and methodologies for sound and vibration measurements.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures in a consulting environment.

• Annual salary of $100,000 to $130,000, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
