Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit tax reports and payments.
  • Review and prepare monthly client and corporate reports.
  • Ensure timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

Position: Sr Accounting Technician
Location: Downtown Montreal
Salary: $58,000 - $65,000 plus benefits
Work Model: Hybrid - Flexible

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit tax reports and payments
  • Review and prepare monthly client and corporate reports (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, etc.)
  • Review all AR and AP accounts and transactions
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for clients and the company
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Provide general accounting support and training
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Support budget preparation
Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, with knowledge of provincial taxation laws and regulations
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of analyzing large data sets
